12-year Old Table Tennis Star, Diya selected in World Cadet Challenge

Diya Parang Chitale, a Twelve-Year-Old Girl from Mumbai and a rising star in Table Tennis team India campaign has got selected in the International Table Tennis Federations (ITTF) World Cadet Challenge to be held at Sharm El Sheik resort in Egypt from 23 to 31 October this year. She is one of the 3 girls from Asia to have got selected for this.

Diya selection has been the result of her outstanding performance and her bronze medal victory over Elizabeth  Abraamian of Russia  in the ITTF World Hopes Week and Challenge which was held at Shanghai, a month ago.

Diya will undergo a 14 -day training camp at the venue before travelling to Sharm El- Sheik .In addition, She will also be a part of three day training under the great Peter Karlsson of Sweden before the beginning of the main event .

Diya has had an excellent run on the International circuit collecting an Impressive 11 medals (5 Gold Medal, 4 Silver and 2 bronze Medals) from February 2015 onwards. She has also been rewarded by Table Tennis Federation of India for this remarkable performance.

We hope to see this 12-year-old prodigy scale new height from here and bring more laurels for our country.
